Community Service Learning and Community Engagement: Impact for Sustainability

As part of the CACSL 2016 conference we propose to publish Community Service Learning and Community Engagement: Impact for Sustainability, a twelve chapter book. Our goal for the publication is to encourage research and pedagogical scholarship in CSL/CE, and to ultimately increase the number of students, faculty, and community partners who have a chance to experience the multiple benefits that accrue from CSL and CE practices.

The call for chapter submissions for ‘Community Service Learning and Community Engagement: A Canadian Viewpoint’ opened March 1, 2015 with a closing date of November 16th, 2015. Authors will be notified as to whether their submission was accepted, conditionally accepted, or rejected by January 31, 2016. The author, or one of the authors, will be required to attend the CACSL Conference 2016:  Impact for Sustainability, held May 25 to 27, 2016 at Mount Royal University in Calgary, Alberta.

Please contact Dr. Cynthia J. Gallop at cgallop@mtroyal.ca or Victoria Calvert at vcalvert@mtroyal.ca with any questions.
